dieses Jahr feiert Citizens For Europe 5-jähriges Bestehen – das wollen wir feiern! Bei guter Musik (auch live), Fingerfood und einem kleinen Rahmenprogramm wollen wir zusammen einen tollen Abend verbringen.

Wir möchten Ihnen auf diesem Wege für die Unterstützung danken, die wir über die Jahre erfahren haben, sei es bei diversen Kampagnen zum Wahlrecht für Alle, gegen TTIP, für mehr Vielfalt in den Führungsetagen, Demokratieförderung auf lokaler und EU-Ebene oder der Verknüpfung von Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft. Wir freuen uns über so viel Zuspruch und auf die künftige Zusammenarbeit mit Euch und Ihnen!

Aktive Zivilgesellschaft in der Flüchtlingskrise

Mit einer Spende von 3 bis 5 EURO können Sie vor Ort unsere nächste Ausgabe von Open Citizenship unterstützen, in der Geflüchtete in Berlin im Frühjahr 2016 Texte zu den Themen Citizenship, Teilhabe und Stadtentwicklung veröffentlichen werden.

 

Programm:

Ab 17 Uhr sind die Türen geöffnet
Um 19 Uhr gibt es ein kleines Rahmenprogramm
Um 20 Uhr spielt die Band und danach wird den Rest des Abends getanzt bis zum Umfallen

This year Citizens For Europe celebrates it’s 5 year anniversary. We want to celebrate this occasion with our friends, families and partners with some good music, food, and games.

When: 25 September, starting at 5pm

With this party we want thank you and all our partners who have been standing with us to promote a more inclusive and participatory society in Europe. Whether campaigning voting rights for migrants, fighting TTIP, promoting diversity in leadership, deepening democracy at EU level, opening up EU citizenship, bridging divides between academia, civil society, and politics or empowering activists, you have supported us or even joined our path of activities. We are looking forward to further collaborations in the future!

Drinks will be sold at cost price, food is on us.

Active Civil Society and the Refugee Crisis

With a donation of 3 – 5 EURO on the spot you can support our next Open Citizenship edition, which is going to feature refugee authors from Berlin on issues of citizenship, participation and urban development. This issue will be published in early 2016.

 

Programme:

At 5 pm we open our doors
At 7 pm we run a small show
At 8 pm the band will be playing and the rest of the night we will dance until we drop

Intercultural Innovation Award 2015, call open until 20 September

Intercultural Innovation Award by

As partner of the Intercultural Leaders Network, Citizens For Europe present you the Call for Application of the 2015 edition of the Intercultural Innovation Award, a partnership between the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the BMW Group. The Award searches for grassroots projects around the world that are promoting dialogue and cooperation among people from different cultural backgrounds using novel and creative methods.

Ten organizations with sustainable and innovative intercultural projects that have potential for expansion and replication will be awarded funding and strategic support by the BMW Group and the UNAOC. To be considered, organizations must apply online by Wednesday, 30 September 2015 at 5:00 pm New York City time.

The top ten finalists will be invited to present their projects at the 7th UNAOC Global Forum.

A total of 100,500 USD is offered to the awardees, of which 40,000 USD goes to the first placed project.

Stop-TTIP Campaigns by Small and Medium Sized CSOs

We are pleased to announce the awardees of our Stop-TTIP call for campaigns.

The international jury of experts selected seven campaign proposals from seven European countries. Altogether we received applications from 12 countries. The selected campaigns each receive a financial support of 4.000 € in funding. We are pleased to announce the awardees of our Stop-TTIP call for campaigns.

This support is provided by the European platform CitizensforEurope and managed by the Berlin based platform member Citizens For Europe. The campaigns aim to inform the local communities and push political decision-makers to stand against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the EU and the United States.

The results will be documented and made available on www.citizensforeurope.eu. We congratulate the awardees and thank all the applicants for their contribution and for the time and effort invested in their submissions.
