Explore the Data from of the survey
The Online Data Explorer for AfroZenus allows access to selected, summarized data from the AfroZensus survey. It is the first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany that such a comprehensive data set provides information about the realities of life, experiences of discrimination and political demands of Black communities. The survey is based on information from approximately 6,000 Black, African and Afrodiasporic people who participated in the AfroCensus in 2020.March 7, 2023
Diversity in the Federal Administration (DiBu)
DiBu scrutinizes the status quo of diversity at the Federal Ministry of Familiy
Demographic and social change require a diversity-oriented organizational development of the federal administration to better reflect the existing diversity of society. DiBu scrutinizes the status quo of diversity at the Federal Ministry of Family also examining hurdles and structural barriers for people with experience of discrimination within the ministry. Based on this, recommendations for actions for a diversity strategyof the ministry will be developed. DiBu is a cooperation project between the German Center for Integration and Migration Research e.V. (DeZIM) and Citizens For Europe gUG (CFE). CFE implements the collection of anti-discrimination and equality data in the form of a quantitative employee survey.March 7, 2023
Survey Ecosystem for equality data collection
Build to standardize, streamline and support our processes of collecting equality data.
In order to standardize, streamline and support our proccesses of collecting equality data we are building an survey ecosystem including a data pipeline to increase our capacities, both in quality and quantity, for equality data research. In the last year we have developed a product vision, conducted internal UX workshops, developed technical concepts and mapped the research process.September 27, 2022
Hackathon "Diversity Data"
Citizens For Europe (CFE) and CorrelAid have partnered up to conduct a survey among CorrelAid community members on the topic of (non-)volunteering and (anti-)discrimination. To kick off the technical tracks of the collaboration, CFE and CorrelAid co-organized a hackathon, the first for us at CFE. From 9th to 11th September 2022, about 35 CorrelAid volunteers - data scientists, data engineers, developers and data4good activists - joined us in Berlin Wedding to support our team to build the technical infrastructure and data pipeline for the collection, analysis, and reporting of equality data.February 15, 2021

A survey from the community for the community
More than one million people of African descent live in Germany. #AFROZENSUS is the first large-scale online survey to record their life realities, experiences of discrimination and perspectives. Based on the results, concrete measures are proposed to reduce racist discrimination and to protect and promote people of African origin in Germany.February 10, 2021

Since 2020, CFE has been working together with the Anti-Discrimination Association Germany (advd) and RAA Berlin in the Competence Network “Anti-Discrimination and Diversity Focus”. As part of the federal program "Demokratie leben!", the network has set itself the task of advancing the professional discourse on the topics of anti-discrimination, equality and diversity focus nationwide and supporting governmental and non-governmental organizations in preventing, recognizing, addressing and reducing discrimination.February 9, 2021
Online survey Vielfalt im Film
For an inclusive film industry in front and behind the camera
How diverse is the German-speaking film and television industry? Who is represented and how, and who is not? What exclusions and precarious working conditions exist and how can we promote the development of an inclusive working environment in the film industry? The initiative and online survey Vielfalt im Film (ViF) was the first comprehensive survey of anti-discrimination and equality data in the German-speaking film and television industry. Over 6,000 members of the film industry in their 440 professions participated in the online survey. The results of #VielfaltImFilm indicate that discrimination pervades the German film industry and limits the participation of people with different diversity backgrounds.February 8, 2021
Survey on structural exclusions in the party Bündnis 90/die Grüne
So far, hardly any quantitative and qualitative surveys have examined discrimination, barriers to access and career opportunities for persons affected by discrimination in German political parties. On behalf of the Federal Executive Committee of the party Bündnis 90 / die Grünen, our qualitative survey on experiences of discrimination within the party is a first step towards gaining specific insights into the mechanisms of exclusion and effective measures for inclusion within the Green party.November 11, 2018
